Foundation Recruitment’s Managing Director, Julian Long, has an impressive track record gained within the real estate sector. Having achieved RICS Chartership status (General Practice) in 1996, he forged a successful career working for property and property fund companies in London where he was responsible for a range of strategic asset management, investment and development duties.

His success as a Chartered Surveyor was then followed by a move into the property recruitment arena where he quickly became Regional Director for one of the sector’s other major recruiters. This allowed him to work extensively with a wide range of prestigious property businesses and to gain extensive expertise in handling senior level search recruitment.

His experiences gained as a client, as a candidate and as recruiter led him to form Foundation Recruitment in 2009 with the clear vision of distilling his knowledge into a consultancy able to deliver best practice and new and higher standards of service.

In his capacity as Managing Director, he splits his time equally between our Manchester and London offices where he is primarily responsible for the continued strategic growth of the business and for the training and development of the team. He also continues to recruit for key clients.

Away from the office, Julian can often be found blazing his way down a mountain, either on a mountain bike or on a snowboard.
